Depiction of the training sailing ship of the GDR "WILHELM PIECK" as an inlay work. Marquetry is inlaid woodwork. In this case, the frame and ship image are made of different light-coloured woods. The flag of the GDR flies at the stern of the ship. The ship, named after the only president of the GDR, was built at the Warnow shipyard in 1951 and was used as a sailing training ship from then until 1990.
