Model of the ferry "WARNEMÜNDE" made by Manfred Handtmann around 1975. The original of this railway ferry was built in 1961-63 at the Rostock Neptun shipyard and operated for 32 years mainly on the route between Warnemünde and the Danish ferry port of Gedser. She made her last voyage on this route on 24 September 1995. The ship christened by Lotte Ulbricht (1903-2002) was sold to Italy in 1996, sailed the Mediterranean as the "ADMIRAL" until 2002 and was scrapped in Turkey in 2003.
