This model of a three-masted sailing boat is not rigged. It bears the name "FRANZ PODEUS". The Podeus family had lived in Warnemünde since the 18th century and, as was typical for a Warnemünde family, also produced sailors. One of the most famous family members was Heinrich Podeus (1832-1905), who was a successful businessman and shipowner in Wismar.
