Portrait of a fully rigged three-masted sailing ship with the name "ADLER". The artist is unknown, possibly made by a sailor himself. The wide frame with gold ornamentation features elaborate ornamental decorations. There were two ships of this name in the Rostock merchant fleet of the 19th century. The brig "ADLER", built in 1858 under Captain Michael Peter Konow, and the brig "ADLER", built in 1816 and managed by Ernst Brockelmann from 1834. The skippers were Chr. Bradhering from 1816 and N.I. Bradhering from 1834. The gravestone of the skipper Peter Daniel Bradhering (1823-1859) is on display in the museum courtyard.
