At the beginning of 2024, the "UNDINE ex KRONPRINZ" was back in the headlines. The oldest surviving seaside resort ship in Germany was built in Rostock in 1910.
The painting by Uwe Weller bears witness to better times, as all that remains of the ship is the hull, which has been rusting away in Rostock's city harbour for years. Since February 2024, the remains of the "UNDINE" have been ashore on the grounds of the fishing harbour.
Will there still be a "happy ending" for the ship?
